"How to Train Your Potato" is the fifth episode of Morphologis' POV in Season One of Group Survival. In this episode, a more co-operative Potatoes becomes an asset for Morph and TIUS as they begin work on expanding the base.
Plot[]
Following the events of the last episode, Morphologis wakes up with his head spinning with Potatoes asking if he's okay. Although he's a little upset, Morph is happy to see that Potatoes stayed to make sure he was okay. Morph and TIUS decide to trust Potatoes as they head back to the base. On the way home, they decide to test Potatoes for it's original purpose: mining. They find Potatoes is successful, albeit a little bit uncooperative at times.
Once they get back to base, Morph and TIUS unload the materials from the mission to the pod and Morph decides to upgrade Potatoes as a treat for Potatoes co-operation. TIUS asks when she will get an upgrade, and Morph sarcastically responds with "when you're kind and generous and no longer sarcastic with everything you say!"
Following the upgrades, Potatoes is sent on it's first mining mission. To Morph and TIUS's shock, Potatoes finds gold a few minutes following it's deployment. TIUS is concerned about it's power levels, however, as Morph decides to begin upgrading the base. He builds a refinery and an assembler on the platform that he's built before Potatoes comes back to drop off materials. He sends it out again, but there's trouble.
TIUS informs Morph that they have lost contact with Potatoes as it was heading back, possibly due to the additional weight on the drone. Following slight modifications to the rover to get it out of a ditch, they head off to find Potatoes heavily damaged and unpowered in a field close to the base. TIUS attempts to reboot the OS, but it fails.
