The Federation, is the owner of the USS Constitution and commands the military structure that Captain Shack and W4sted are a part of. In one of "Shacks" episodes he claims he was told to go seek out new life. A play on Star Trek's United Federation of Planets motto. Presumably, The Federation is a government body that rules Earth in some capacity, and it also has significant presence on Luna (Episode citation needed), making the aforementioned presumption even more likely.
Morphologis, while collaborating with the Federation, is a representative of The Company and was the designer and liaison for the Duality Drive project.
